Privacy and cookie statement

This privacy and cookie statement was last revised on October 7, 2026.

Your privacy and the protection of your personal data matter to Let’s Book B.V. (hereinafter: Let’s Book). When we process your personal data, we follow the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). This means we:

  • Clearly specify our purposes before we process your personal data, as set out in this privacy and cookie statement.
  • Store as little personal data as possible and only the data necessary for our purposes.
  • Ask for explicit consent for the processing of your personal data, should consent be required.
  • Take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data. We also impose these obligations on parties who process personal data on our behalf.
  • Respect your rights, such as the right of access, rectification or erasure of your personal data processed by us.

For what purposes do we use your personal data?

When you visit our websites (lets-book.com and letsbook.app) or use our services, we obtain personal data from you. Below, for each purpose, we say what information we obtain, why we process it and how long we keep it. If you have any questions, or want to know exactly what information we store about you, please contact us. Our contact details are at the bottom of this page.

Contact

You can contact us by email, through the chat on our websites (it loads when you click the chat button, or after you allow cookies, see below) or with the support button in the application.

For this purpose, we process the following personal data:

  • Name
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Any information you enter yourself as content of your message

We use this information to handle your request and to perform the contract with you. Emails to support@lets-book.com and chat messages arrive in Intercom, our customer service tool. We keep your personal data until we are sure that we fully answered and correctly handled your request.

The request form

On our get-started page you can ask for a demo, a test login, or send us a question.

For this purpose, we process the following personal data:

  • Name and email address
  • Company name, telephone number and website, when you fill them in
  • What you tell us about your business: what you offer, your boats and how many, how you schedule them, and whether you ask for your own business or for a client
  • The language of the page
  • Your message
  • The page you sent the form from, and a random ID for the request
  • When you allowed cookies: the ad or campaign that brought you to our website (see the lb_attribution cookie below)

The form sends your request to website.letsbook.app, a part of our own system that runs at our hosting provider Scalingo in France. It sends your request by email to our support inbox, and sends you a confirmation email. It keeps your request only until the two emails are sent. When an email fails three times, a copy stays in our error records until we remove it. To stop abuse, it limits how many requests one IP address can send; it keeps that count without storing the address itself. When our spam filter rejects a request, it writes the name, email address, IP address and page of that request to our logs.

When your request is about becoming a customer, we add it to Attio, the tool we keep our prospective customers in. When you came to our website through a Google ad, we later tell Google Ads whether that click led to a qualified lead, a demo or a customer. For that, we send Google the click ID of the ad, a time, the random ID of your request and your email address.

We use this information to answer your request and to take the steps you asked for before a contract, and, on the basis of our legitimate interest, to learn which of our ads bring us customers. We keep it until we have handled your request. If you become a customer, the section below applies.

Providing data to third parties

Let’s Book only shares your data with third parties when this is allowed by current legislation. It may happen that we provide your personal information to third parties, because:

  • we have engaged them to process certain data;
  • it is necessary to carry out the agreement with you;
  • you have given consent for this;
  • we have a legitimate interest in this;
  • we are legally obliged to do so (e.g. if the police demand this in case of a suspicion of a crime).

Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of these parties are established in the United States, or store data there: Google, Cloudflare and Intercom. We only transfer personal data outside the European Economic Area (EEA) when it gets an adequate level of protection. For a party certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, the adequacy decision of the European Commission covers the transfer. For any other transfer, we use the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission. The United Kingdom, where Attio is established, has an adequacy decision of its own.

Cookies

Cookies are small files that a website stores on your device (a computer, tablet or phone) through your browser, and reads back on a later visit. Local storage is a similar store in your browser. This section lists the cookies and local storage keys of our marketing website lets-book.com. Google and Intercom can set more for their own working; their privacy policies list them.

On your first visit, a card asks whether we may use cookies. When you click Allow, we turn on analytics, advertising measurement and the chat. Until then, we set none of these, and Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics and Google Ads do not load. If you click Decline, they never load. The chat is the one exception: it also loads when you click the chat button, because then you asked for it.

Necessary

These need no consent. They only remember a choice you made.

  • lang (cookie, Let’s Book): the language you picked in the language menu, so the homepage opens in that language. Only set when you pick a language. Kept for 1 year.
  • consent:analytics (local storage, Let’s Book): your answer on the cookie card, “granted” or “denied”, so we do not ask again on every page. Next to it, consent:analytics:at keeps the day you answered. Kept for 12 months; then the card asks again.
  • banner:<name> (local storage, Let’s Book): that you closed an announcement at the top of the page, so it stays closed. Kept until you clear it in your browser.
  • preview_access (cookie, Let’s Book): only on our password-protected preview websites, never on lets-book.com. It remembers that you entered the password. Kept for 1 year.

Analytics and advertising, after you click Allow

  • Google Analytics (Google): counts visits and shows us how people use the website. It receives your IP address, the pages you open, your device and browser, and the website you came from. Our website also hands these actions to Google Tag Manager in your browser: a click on the login link, the second step of the request form, a use of the price calculator, a click on a type of business, a search in the feature list (the search term, from 3 characters), opening the chat, and a sent request (its type, the language of the page, the random request ID, and whether it was a test). They reach Google only when a tag in Google Tag Manager sends them on. Our website never sends your name or email address to Google Analytics. Cookies, as Google documents them: _ga and _ga_Z75HTJBZF0, kept for up to 2 years.
  • Google Ads (Google): we use it to measure which ad clicks lead to a request for a demo or a test login (a conversion), so we know which ads work. Its conversion linker remembers the ad click. Cookies, as Google documents them: _gcl_au, and _gcl_aw when you arrive from an ad, kept for 90 days.
  • lb_attribution (cookie, Let’s Book): which ad or campaign brought you to our website (the Google click ID and the campaign tags in the link), the page you arrived on and the website you came from. It is sent with the request form, so we can trace a request back to that ad. Kept for 90 days, and deleted when you click Decline or withdraw your consent.

We use Google Consent Mode. When you click Allow, we tell Google that you allowed analytics storage, advertising storage, ad user data and ad personalization. Before you answer, and after you decline, these four signals are set to denied.

Chat, after you click the chat button or Allow

  • Intercom (Intercom): the chat button in the corner of the page. It remembers your conversation and the device you use, so the chat continues on your next visit. Cookies, as Intercom documents them: intercom-id-qhpfqtvu and intercom-device-id-qhpfqtvu, kept for up to 9 months, and intercom-session-qhpfqtvu, kept for 1 week. Without your consent, Intercom sets them only when you click the chat button, to run the chat you asked for. When you withdraw your consent, the chat shuts down and Intercom clears its cookies.

To read what Google and Intercom do with your personal data, see their privacy policies, linked under Providing data to third parties above.

Disabling of cookies

To change your answer, click Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. The cookie card opens again. When you click Decline there after an earlier Allow, Google stops storing, the chat shuts down, and lb_attribution is deleted. You can also set your web browser to only accept cookies with your consent. For more information, please consult your browser’s manual. Be aware that disabling cookies will affect the functionality of this and many other websites that you visit.

Removal of cookies

Most cookies have an expiration date. This means that they will automatically expire after a certain period and no longer register any data concerning your visit of the website. Another option is to remove the cookies manually before the expiration date. In order to do this, consult your browser’s manual.

Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational security measures with regard to the processing of personal data to be carried out, against loss or against any form of unlawful processing (such as unauthorized access, corruption, alteration or disclosure of personal data).

We may change this privacy and cookie statement from time to time. Changes will be published on our websites and in our application. It is therefore advised to consult this privacy and cookie statement on a regular basis, so you are aware of these changes.
